We are pleased to announce our breeding schedule for 2019!
Babies expected starting in early February.
NOTE: Due to the severe illness of our “herd mistress and chief goat lover”, our entire herd is being liquidated ASAP. Many people have asked for bred does, so we are proceeding with breedings as if we could continue on with the herd. All does that are exposed to the bucks will be sold with service memos at no extra charge.
Some notes first:
- It is our goal and mission to be THE top breeder of Nigerian Dwarf Goats based on health and goat happiness, excellence in animal husbandry, permaculture, organic rearing methods, breeding for temperament, dairy and show qualities, top-of-line registries, and pre and post sale customer service and education!
- We will work closely with you to fit the right kidding to your desired needs (e.g. dairy, show, pet, temperament, size, coloring, etc).
- Blue eyes are dominant in the Nigerian Dwarfs, so a Blue eyed parent paired with a Amber eyed parent will predominately produce blue eyed offspring in our experience… but can also produce amber eyed kids.
- Please note that final coloration of kids can sometimes change as they grow up…. we have had black & white kids at birth turn an amazing tri-color chocolate brown and white with black pinstriping!!!!
All goats in our herd browse on organic pastures and woods that have never been chemically treated. They are fed non-GMO alfalfa and orchard grass hay that is not chemically fertilized or sprayed, as well as non-GMO Mennonite grains and certified Organic feed.- This was a DISEASE TESTED HERD (CL, CAE, Johne’s, Bruscellosis, and TB) until October 2017 when we entered our first show. Please Note: All show goats are quarantined and retested for CAE before rejoining their herd mates. CAE, CL and Johne’s testing will be herd-wide annually. We are in a Bruscellosis and TB-free state so we will no longer be doing this testing on our show goats, but any goat added to the herd will be tested.
This year we have many Polled kid opportunities, along with more Blue eyed opportunities than ever before!- Bucklings will start at $250 and up, Doelings at $400 and up
- These are dairy, show and pet goats and are not meat goats!
